An anonymous survey of 504 working women: founders, managers and employees. 3 in 4 had symptoms of insomnia, yet only about 4% reported a diagnosed sleep disorder. AbstractMay 2026· Istanbul33rd European Congress on Obesity (ECO 2026)“The GLP-1 Awareness-Uptake Paradox among Women Following a Physician on Social Media”K. A. Wozniak, A. Magryś

A survey of more than 6,000 Polish women recruited on Instagram. Those who follow doctors on social media knew much more about GLP-1 treatment, yet only 11% of those with obesity were being treated, mostly because of the cost. As sources of health information, they rated doctors at 4 out of 5 and influencers at 2.

AbstractMarch 2026· Lublin12th Lublin International Medical Congress (LIMC 2026)“Obesity as a public health challenge and the role of physician-led health education on social media”

A literature review of obesity as a public health problem and of doctors as health educators online. About 65% of adults in Poland live with excess weight, while social media spreads misinformation: 71% of 218 TikTok videos about semaglutide did not mention risks. Doctors are seen as more credible than creators without medical training, so their education can improve what people know about obesity and its treatment.

AbstractMay 2025· Lublin11th Polish Scientific Conference Progenesis: health behaviours“When obesity becomes a problem: classifying patients for pharmacological treatment”

How to qualify adults for obesity medicines under the 2024 guidelines of the Polish Society for the Treatment of Obesity: assessment beyond BMI (body composition, waist circumference, complications), medicines from BMI 30, or 27 with complications, after lifestyle measures, and treatment tailored and monitored over time.
